Get Discovered – a music competition with a difference

Get Discovered 2015 Full Trailer

Get Discovered is designed to get young music talent heard and to raise awareness of blood cancer, highlighting how easy it is to register as a blood stem cell donor.

Thousands of people are diagnosed with blood cancer every year. Their only chance of survival is to find a matching blood stem cell donor. Younger people have a better chance of saving someone’s life, yet only a ¼ of people registered to help are aged 17-30 and only 6% are from a Black or Asian background.

We have launched Get Discovered as part of a brand new campaign for the charity, to raise awareness of blood cancer in the UK and particularly to increase the number of Black Afro-Caribbean and Asian young men on our registered donor database.

Get Discovered is the first ever YouTube music competition for aspiring singers/songwriters, MCs, DJs and producers to show case their talent, with the purpose of raising awareness of blood cancer amongst young people especially from a Asian, Black Afro-Caribbean background.
